The best-selling cell phones of all time, from tenth to seventh place
Tenth place is occupied by the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max, characterized by a black and white display, obviously without a camera, this device owes its fame to its reliability and longevity and can still be found for sale online.
In ninth place we still find Apple with the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and Pro Max in 2019. The base model, the iPhone 11, has become the best-selling of the three, contributing together with the Pro and Pro Max variants to a total of around 159 million units sold.
Eighth place still occupied by the American giant, thanks to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus which sold a total of around 160 million devices. The important innovations, such as the IP67 certification against water and dust, represented an important level up.
Seventh position for the Nokia 3210, which with approximately 161 million units sold since its launch in 1999 interrupts Apple’s hegemony. User-friendly keyboard and innovative features, such as the dedicated key to delete text and the double scroll key, have made it one of the most famous and have deservedly reserved a place for it in this ranking.
From sixth to third place
In sixth position among the best-selling phones of all time we find the iPhone 5s, which has sold around 165 million units since its launch in September 2013. Introducing Touch ID technology for the first time, this version was particularly innovative and has certain verses marked a watershed.
Fifth place for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus which have sold a total of around 174 million units, while in fourth place we find the Nokia 105 which has sold around 200 million since its debut at the Mobile World Congress in 2013.
Approximately 222 million of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, launched in 2014, were sold and for this reason they deserve third position. With larger screens than their predecessors, these phones have made Apple fans fall in love with their design and functionality.
Second position
The Nokia 1110 comes in second place with around 248 million units sold since its launch in 2005. Successor to the popular 1100 model, the 1110 retained the reliability and simplicity of its predecessor, but improved some features.
With a lightweight design and removable battery, the 1110 was particularly practical and long-lasting. A real gem for the most nostalgic.
