Donald Trump can run in the 2024 election: here’s why
This news has certainly puzzled the citizens of the rest of the world, who may not be familiar with the US legal system. But not the inhabitants of the USA.
What is even more interesting about this US rule is that even if Trump were to be convicted, he would not lose the right to vote and the right to be elected.
Of course, the only obstacle to prevent the former White House tenant from running and being elected would be a final prison sentence.
Therefore, partly because of the presumption of innocence, partly because of US law, the Tycoon has decided to run in the next presidential election with the Republican party.
However, there is another thing to consider. Would Republican voters vote for Donald Trump in the primaries for the presidential race?
This question is difficult to answer as the former president would have to democratically outvote his fellow party members.
To name a few, the Republican ranks include politicians such as Ron De Santis, governor of Florida. Mike Pence, Trump’s former vice president. And Nikki Haley, former governor of South Carolina.
In short, an uphill challenge for Donald Trump.

In addition to these new charges, there is also the trial in the case of the former porn star Stormy Daniels. And, the trial for taking secret papers to his Florida residence that were in the White House.
