Every year we see the great haute couture brands parading on catwalks all over the world: what if behind these iconic brands are the skilful hands of Italian tailors and weavers? Well, yes, because Errepi Confezioni, a Perugian company founded in 1979 from an idea of Rino Pettirossi and specialised in industrial tailoring for third parties, has been dominating the international market for decades, exporting the quality of Made in Italy all over the world and characterising the haute couture sector with unique and timeless items.
“Our secret is to have maintained a family dimension despite our international success,” explains Fosca Romani, current owner and partner of the late founder. “Errepi Confezioni has been in existence for more than 45 years and, in all this time, has maintained an intimate dimension, attentive to the needs of each person who works within it. Here at Errepi Confezioni, staff turnover only takes place over the long term, and the more than thirty people who, every day, produce articles of great value all feel equally valued. I myself, despite being the owner, still work on the patterns and make the prototypes. The great quality that we offer our customers is the fruit of this business environment that we have created, together, over all these years’.
From a small tailor’s workshop of just four people, already part of the production system of the Marzotto family, a historic name in the Italian textile scene, to a structure capable of meeting the needs of the biggest names on a global scale: Errepi Confezioni has been able to reinvent itself without distorting itself, looking to the future without forgetting its past. This vision is also confirmed by investments in sustainability, with the expansion of the factory and the installation of photovoltaic panels and heat pumps.
